A Hee-Haw Wild West Party Theme!

Let’s get all those feet stomping with a Wild West college Party theme! This theme can help you get that cowboy hat not collect dust anymore. To help you with organizing this theme, here are some helpful tips for you to begin with.

Let’s start with the party invitations.

Personalize your western party invitation. Include all important details and don’t forget that everyone must come in their Wild West look with their boots with spurs, cutesy vest/skirt, cowboy hats, fringe, denim pants or skirt, and scarfs on. You can insert a bandana or maybe a sheriff bandage that can serve as the students’ ticket to the party. You can also include some sparkling western confetti to add more fun and surprise to your invitation. It may cost a few if you decide to have all of the invitations delivered.

For the posters of the party, you can make a WANTED poster with all the party details (date, time, venue, theme, etc.). Use a parchment colored paper or make it look old and rusty as well.

Setting the stage of your Wild West Party!

Your venue must have a personalized banner to welcome the guests. At the entrance, you can assign one of the organizers dressed as a cowboy or a cowgirl to welcome the students.

If you can rent a ranch or a barn, it will most probably fit the theme and can make the party even more realistic. If this can be possible you can just add minimal decorations. Make sure that you have real hay bales at the entrance too.  Plastic snakes all around can also be a good add-on for more authenticity.

You can also hang some WANTED posters with the guests or the organizers photos in each of them. Use country music songs as your background. You can also mix some pop and classic country music. For the classic ones, you can play songs from George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson or Patsy Cline.

For your tables to really look great, over red linens, use checkered toppers. Also, use solid white and solid red napkins. Also, you can choose denim table covers. You can choose the following: plates can be a cow print or bandana themed ones; LED Margarita glasses; Boot Shot Glasses; LED Cowboy Boot Mug.

For the centerpiece of the tables, you can make use of a cactus. Tie a blue and red colored bandana around the little clay pots to really make these centerpieces according to the theme.

Now, you have a complete table setting with all these decors.

For the menu of the Wild West party, BBQ style grub will surely work well. Also, you can add burgers, hotdogs, chicken drumsticks and garlic bread.

For the drinks, these should be served in Mason jars. Whiskey, rustic beers (stick to kegs),Jack Daniels liquor will do.
